Power through storytelling
ASK-Communications is me, Alison Stephanie Kilian: A journalist turned communications professional, I have long believed in the power of high-quality storytelling. I offer writing, editing, and content creation services backed by over seven years of experience. I am a native English speaker.
After considering medical school in university (a healthcare volunteer trip through rural Tanzania changed my mind) I instead decided to focus on my love of writing. A BA in English and MA in Comparative Literature followed.
I got my professional start as an international journalist, writing for Spiegel International and Axel Springer in Berlin. Upon transitioning to the communications field, I spent two years in Brussels working as the Communications & Media Relations Manager for EFPIA, the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries & Associations.
In 2015, I moved to Vienna, Austria, and began my consulting career. Today I continue to work as a freelance writer, editor, and content consultant. I work primarily for clients in the healthcare, financial, and legal sectors.
My international background allows me to work easily with clients from different cultures. I was born in the United States to German parents, completed my BA in Canada, and did my MA in Germany. I now work for clients in both the U.S. and Europe.
