ASK-Communications is me, Alison Stephanie Kilian. A journalist turned communications professional, I have long believed in the power of quality storytelling. I've been writing professionally for over ten years.

I have a BA in English from McGill University and an MA in Comparative Literature from the Freie University Berlin. I got my start as an international journalist, writing for Spiegel International and Axel Springer in Berlin.

Upon transitioning to the communications field, I spent two years in Brussels working as the Communications & Media Relations Manager for EFPIA, the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries & Associations.

In 2015, I moved to Vienna, Austria, and began my consulting career. Today I continue to craft stories that compel and content that sells through my personalized writing and content creation/consulting services (ghostwriting, copywriting, storytelling).

In addition to having 10+ years of experience, I have the following credentials:

  • Professional Certificate in Writing for Video Games, University of British Columbia (2022)

  • M.A. in Comparative Literature, Freie Universität Berlin (2013)

  • B.A. in English and Cultural Studies, McGill University (2007)

  • Professional Writing Certificate for PR & Journalism, Georgetown University (2006)

When you work with ASK-Communications, you are working with me directly. I do not outsource content to third parties or content mills to get the job done. I believe that storytelling should be personal—and that you should know the person who is telling your story.
